Children in poor countries cannot get access to proper education. This is hindering the growth of the community. Here are five major barriers that most children face.
Lack of proper funding
There is the lack of funding from the government of these countries. Many global donors are supporting education in these countries, but the rate of donation has decreased over the past few years. There is a global funding crisis now.
Having trained teacher
There is not enough teachers available for primary and secondary education. Most of the teachers that are available are untrained. So, children fail to learn the basics, like language and maths skills. There are non-profit organizations that are working towards giving proper training to the teachers.
There is a lack of classroom in these poor countries. Even if there are classrooms, they are overcrowded. The basic facilities are not available, like water and toilets. There are also fewer schools for girls.
Not enough learning materials
There are not enough books or stationaries available for students in many parts of the world. This short supply of educational materials is affecting the children’s education.
Disabled children are left out
In such poor community where normal children are struggling to get their basic needs and education, the disabled children are left out. They don’t receive any education and have to depend on someone for their whole life.
If we can overcome these barriers, then we will be able to give the children a better place to live in. Donors should come forward and help in improving the lives of these children.
